![]() I use basically the same technique as I did in my DIY ceramic glitter glass ornaments. The top that comes on these plain glass ormanents are just a tad plain and I think adding the glass glitter really makes them feel special. The last thing I like to do to these ornaments (to any ornaments I make, really) is to add glass glitter to the top. You can always add more detail, but I prefer this simple snowflake. Last, draw two additional Vs on each spoke of the snowflake as pictured below. ![]() Next, draw Vs in between each of the spokes of the snowflake. I like to make the edges slightly shorter than the lines of the plus-sign sides. Next, draw an X through the center of your plus sign. To draw the snowflake, follow these easy steps:įirst, choose one side of the clear glass ornament and, holding firmly in one hand, draw a big plus sign as pictured below. You can go as simple or complex as you would like, but I show here the easy way that I like to do it. I recommend practicing once or twice on a scrap piece of cardboard before painting on the glass. It has the most true gold metallic finish. It is really beautiful and vintage looking. I used the color gold, which I would say is actually more like a silver with a slightly antique golden patina. I found the glass ornaments at Michael's, but you can find them at most craft stores during the holiday season.
